University of Wyoming Project Seeks to Map Racial Prejudice in the United States

university_of_wyomingA group of graduate students in psychology at the University of Wyoming is seeking to raise money online to fund a research project on prejudice directed at African Americans. The group contends that people with similar attitudes and prejudices tend to cluster in particular geographic areas. They hope to construct a map which shows where prejudice is most prevalent. They believe the mapping project may be able to predict criminal justice practices and social policy endorsement within particular communities.
