Moses V. Goldmon Named Second in Command at Lane College

goldmanMoses V. Goldmon was appointed executive vice president at Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee. Dr. Goldmon will be the second highest-ranking official at the historically Black college to Logan Hampton, president of the college. Dr. Goldmon will also serve as a tenured professor in the Division of Liberal Arts and Education and as chaplain of the college.

Dr. Goldmon was serving as an assistant professor of religious education at the Shaw University Divinity School in Raleigh and as pastor of Prince Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in New Hill, North Carolina. He is the author of the 2014 book Choosing God’s Fast: Biblical Strategies for Conquering Life’s Challenges.

President Hampton stated that “we are elated and thrilled to have a person of Dr. Goldmon’s caliber to lend his extraordinary and unique talents to Lane College and the greater Jackson community.”

Dr. Goldmon is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where he majored in health and physical education. He holds master’s degrees from Iowa State University and Shaw University and an educational doctorate from the University of Tennessee.
