
In accepting the appointment, Dr. Jackson said that “communication is the lifeblood of humanity. Without it we would have no such thing as culture, media or a society. The NCA’s advocacy for competent, ethical and mindful communications extends to issues such as literacy, social justice, healthcare and institutional effectiveness.”
Dr. Jackson holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Cincinnati. He earned a Ph.D. in rhetoric from Howard University in Washington, D.C. He is the co-editor of Black Comics: Politics and Representations (Bloomsbury Academic, 2013).
