Dexter A. Woods Named Dean of the Howard University College of Dentistry

howardHoward University in Washington, D.C., has announced the appointment of Dexter A. Woods as dean of its College of Dentistry. Dr. Woods has been serving as associate dean, associate professor, and director of faculty practice at the College of Dentistry.

dexter-woodsDr. Woods is a graduate of Tuskegee University in Alabama, where he majored in biology. He earned a  doctor of dental surgery degree from Howard University. He then completed a general dentistry residency at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Woods is licensed to practice dentistry in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Kansas. He joined the faculty at Howard University in 1999.
