The Extreme Science Internship program funded by the Army Research Laboratory places students from Morgan State University in Baltimore in internships with 15 research facilities such as the Johns Hopkins Extreme Materials Institute.
Now the Army Research Laboratory has expanded its effort to increase the number of minority students in STEM fields by creating the Extreme Science Scholar program. Under this new program the Army Research Laboratory will provide tuition assistance to three Morgan State University students.
The three Extreme Science Scholars this year at Morgan State University are:
- Oreoluwa Adesina, a sophomore student majoring in electrical engineering.
- Hashmath Fathima, a master’s degree student in engineering.
- Dennis Aryee, a first-year graduate student in physics and materials science.
