Mildred Rice Jordan and Gregory J. Vincent Are Honored

Mildred Rice Jordan, associate professor emerita at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, was inducted into the Permanent Gallery of Success of the Temple University College of Education.

Dr. Rice Jordan holds bachelor’s and doctoral degrees from Temple University. She taught elementary school for 25 years before joining the Rider University faculty.

Gregory J. Vincent, vice president for diversity and community engagement and professor in the School of Law and the College of Education at the University of Texas at Austin, received the DeWitty/Overton Freedom Award from the Austin chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. It is the highest award given by the local chapter of the NAACP.

Dr. Vincent has been with the University of Texas since 2005. He is a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges and holds a law degree from Ohio State and a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania.
