One African American Among Finalists for Key Post at the University of Wisconsin-Madison

The University of Wisconsin at Madison has announced a field of three finalists for the position of vice chancellor for university relations. The position holds responsibility for marketing, communications, branding, and government and corporate relations. All three finalists will visit campus during February for interviews and public presentations. One of the three finalists is an African American.

Richie-C.-HunterRichie Hunter is vice chancellor and vice president of university marketing, communication, and media relations for the University of Houston. Before joining the staff at the University of Houston, Hunter was vice president for government programs for Coventry Health Care. Earlier in her career, Hunter served as an assistant director of admission at the University of Houston and was a recruitment officer for Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.

Hunter is a graduate of the University of Southern California. She holds an MBA from Lamar University and is currently pursuing a doctorate in higher education leadership and policy studies at the University of Houston.
