Three African American Men Named to Positions as Deans

Eugene-WilliamsEugene Williams is the new dean of the College of Education at Brenau University in Georgia. Dr. Williams joined the faculty at the university in 2008 as an assistant professor of education after serving for 30 years as a teacher and administrator in the public schools.

Dr. Williams holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Albany State University. He earned an educational doctorate at the University of Georgia.

Farrell-WebbFarrell J. Webb was appointed dean of the College of Health and Human Development at California State University, Northridge. He was associate dean of the College of Health and Human Services at California State University, Los Angeles. Earlier, he had a 19-year career as a faculty member in family studies at Kansas State University.

Dr. Webb is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He holds master’s degrees from California State University, Long Beach and New York University. He earned his Ph.D. in family social sciences from the University of Minnesota.

hill_alan-wbAlan P. Hill was named dean of experimental learning and vice president for student academic life at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. He was dean for professional development at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana.

Hill was an All-American athlete as an undergraduate student at DePauw University and still holds the university’s pole vault record. He also holds a master’s degree from DePauw University.
