Delaware State Partners With Southwest Petroleum University in China

Delaware State University, the historically Black educational institution in Dover has entered into a partnership with Southwest Petroleum University in Chengdu, China. The agreement calls for faculty and student exchanges between the two universities, research collaborations, and other activities.

Harry L. Williams, president of Delaware State University, traveled to China to negotiate and ratify the agreement with Southwest Petroleum University President Zhao Jinzhou and other university officials. Dr. Williams stated that this “agreement further expands Delaware State University’s  international footprint within the country of China, providing both Del State and Southwest with new possibilities for study abroad for our students as well as possible academic and research collaborations in the future.”
