Norfolk State University Offering New Bachelor’s Degree Program

nsuHistorically Black Norfolk State University in Virginia has announced that beginning this fall the university will be offering a new bachelor’s degree program in tourism and hospitality management. The new degree program will be offered online.

Larry Epplein, advisor for the new degree program stated that “we want to attract workers in the hospitality and tourism industry, first-line supervisors and others seeking to advance their careers in the business. Employees who upgrade their industry skills are more likely to stay longer with their employers, thus decreasing turnover rates. For employees, this degree will help advance their careers and puts them in the pipeline for management positions in the tourism and hospitality industry.”
