Notable Honors for Two African American Academics

robert-noblesRobert Nobles, associate vice chancellor for research at the University of Tennessee, received the 2016 National Role Model Administrator Award in Higher Education from Minority Access Inc. Dr. Nobles was honored at the National Role Models Conference in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Nobles holds a bachelor’s degree and a master of public health degree from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee. He earned a doctorate in public health from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.

photoRenee Kirby, associate director of disability resources and services at Temple University in Philadelphia, was recently inducted into the Susan Daniels Disability Mentoring Hall of Fame. The hall of fame is an honor established by the National Disability Mentoring Coalition.

Kirby holds a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation and a master’s degree in sports administration from Temple University.
