Two Black Scholars Named to Endowed Chairs

Fred A. Bonner has been named to the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Chair in Education at the Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University in New Jersey. Dr. Bonner was a professor of higher education administration and associate dean of faculties at the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University.

Dr. Bonner is a graduate of the University of North Texas in Denton. He holds a master’s degree from Baylor University and an educational doctorate from the University of Arkansas.

Joseph Ofori-Dankwa was appointed to the Harvey Randall Wickes Chair in International Business in the College of Business and Management at Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan. Dr. Ofori-Dankwa has been on the university’s faculty since 1987.

Dr. Ofori-Dankwa earned degrees in Ghana and the United Kingdom before completing a Ph.D. in labor and industrial relations at Michigan State University.
