Albany State University, the historically Black educational institution in Georgia, has signed a new articulation agreement with Albany Technical College. The institutions have cooperated in the past, but this new agreement expands the partnership. Albany Technical college enrolls about 3,200 students and African Americans make up nearly 80 percent of the student body.
The new agreement allows students at Albany Technical College who complete associate’s degrees in accounting, marketing, business management and technology, and logistics management to transfer to Albany State University to complete a bachelor’s degree. The new agreement allows students who complete associate’s degrees to expand the number of majors they can consider at Albany State.
“Albany State University is proud to partner with Albany Technical College to provide more opportunities for students to further their education,” said Art Dunning, president of Albany State University. “Expanding access to higher education is one of our guiding principles. Collaborations like this allow us to offer the flexibility and versatility needed for student success.”
