J. Lee Brown to Lead the College of Business and Economics at Fayetteville State University

J. Lee Brown was appointed interim dean of the College of Business and Economics at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. He joined the faculty at the university in 2011 and currently serves as an assistant professor of management, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Since 2015, Dr. Brown has been associate dean of the College of Business and Economics.

At Fayetteville State, Dr. Brown teaches courses in strategic management, principles of management, and the global environment of organizations. Dr. Brown is currently leading a project, in collaboration with the North Carolina Institute of Minority Economic Development, to open a Construction Resource Office that is intended to increase the participation rates of underrepresented businesses in local and regional construction projects.

Dr. Brown is a graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, where he majored in electrical engineering. He holds an MBA from Strayer University and a Ph.D. in strategic management and international business from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Brown was named the most outstanding doctoral student at Old Dominion University in 2011.
