New Administrative Appointments for Four African Americans in Higher Education

Darrice Griffin was named deputy director of administration for the University of Georgia Athletic Association. She was deputy director of athletics and senior woman administrator at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is the former associate athletics director for intercollegiate sports programs at Columbia University in New York City.

Griffin is a graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, where she majored in psychology and played varsity basketball.

Charles L. Greene II was appointed vice president for communications and marketing at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. He has been serving as director of communications and marketing for St. Mark’s School in Southborough, Massachusetts.

Greene is a graduate of Harvard University, where he majored in government. He holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Management at Boston College.

Antonio Marvin Boyle is the new vice president for strategic enrollment at Delaware State University. Since March 2016, he was vice president for enrollment management at Wiley College in Marshall, Texas. Earlier, he was senior vice president for enrollment management at Wilberforce University in Ohio.

Boyle holds a bachelor’s degree in business and an MBA from Alabama A&M University. Boyle competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics as a member of the swim team for the nation of Barbados.

Mark Cartwright was appointed assistant director of procurement for supplier opportunity at Virginia Tech. He was senior director of supplier diversity for Vizient, a group-purchasing organization in the healthcare field.

Cartwright holds a bachelor’s degree in management and an MBA from Virginia Tech.
