The United Lutheran Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Chooses a New Leader

The board of trustees of the United Lutheran Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, has chosen Ricard Green to serve as the educational institution’s interim president. According to the latest U.S. Department of Education statistics, there are 113 students enrolled at the seminary and African Americans make up 6 percent of the student body.

Most recently, Dr. Green served as interim president of Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. Earlier, he was interim provost at Saint Cloud State University in Minnesota and Albany State University in Georgia. He is the former assistant to the president of the University at Buffalo of the State University of New York System and the former president of Jefferson Community College in Kentucky.

Dr. Green is a graduate of Concordia College. He holds a master’s degree in physical chemistry from North Dakota State University and a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
