Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice Provost for Teaching & Learning, the University Innovation Alliance Fellow (UIA) is responsible for managing and facilitating the implementation of new and continuing large-scale projects and initiatives across the University. The position works closely with all areas/levels of Teaching & Learning and other key Provost office divisions (e.g., Student Life, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Enrollment Management) to plan, direct, organize, and execute against project requirements, identify and acquire timely delivery of project outcomes following sponsoring source’s expectations.

The UIA Fellow is responsible for ensuring project goals are accomplished within the prescribed timeframes and funding parameters and leads the co-creation and implementation of the project management process. The position uses process mapping and design thinking to assist in improving the overall rates of student success (e.g., retention, graduation, academic performance) with particular attention focused on progress toward undifferentiated outcomes across student demographics. The UIA Fellow engages in policy research, assessment, proposal writing, and formative and summative program evaluation. The position also co-facilitates the Boiler Success Leadership Team.

Salary will be commensurate with experience, $78,000 to max of $82,000 per year plus benefits

Required:

  • Master’s degree
  • 4 years of work experience in higher education or related areas, including work completed during graduate school
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and undifferentiated outcomes for all students
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaboration as a strategic tool
  • Ability to organize and manage the details of multiple projects while keeping strategic and institutional priorities in mind
  • Knowledge of process mapping and design thinking
  • Experience and comfort with ambiguity and demonstrated ability to appropriately pivot and adapt to new situations or based on new information
  • Ability to take initiative and drive results both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with program evaluation, analyzing student data, and developing reports and presentations
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional improvement and learning
