Dean of Education
The University of Redlands invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Dean of the School of Education. The University seeks an engaged, visionary, and forward-thinking Dean, who will work closely with faculty and staff to advance the School of Education’s compelling core ideals of equity, social and educational justice, and service to community. With the School’s recent Centennial celebration and seeing an increase in enrollment, this is an exciting time to join the Redlands campus. The incoming Dean will find a welcoming community with committed faculty and staff guided by principles championing educational access for all and promoting systemic change. The Dean will report to the Provost and sit on the President’s Cabinet.
Characterized by personalized, inclusive, and globally engaged teaching and scholarship, the School’s undergraduate, graduate, and credential programs are delivered by faculty members who are practitioners, researchers, and scholars. The Dean will be expected to implement and model excellent practices to support the School’s almost 600 students who reflect the multicultural richness of the region. In addition, the next Dean will continue to expand enrollment in key areas; provide the resources and support needed for faculty, staff, and students to be successful; steward the University’s many partnerships and synergies with school districts and other educational entities; and with an eye to the future, collaborate with faculty and staff to innovate and diversify educational options and content delivery to meet market needs and create educational pathways for students.
