The Department of Human Nutrition, Hospitality and Sport Management, a growing Department with a thriving faculty, seeks to fill a faculty position in Sport Management beginning in the Fall 2026 semester. It is one of five academic units within the College of Human Environmental Sciences at The University of Alabama. Due to our continued program growth, the department will split, resulting in the formation of the Department of Hospitality and Sport Management starting Fall 2027.

Responsibilities: Teaching and service to articulate The University of Alabama’s mission including but not limited to:
- Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels as appropriate. Examples of courses that the candidate may teach include, but are not limited to, the following: Introduction to the Sport Industry, Contemporary Club Management, Event Leadership, Sport Tourism, Sport Marketing and Promotion, and Sales in Sport Operations.
- Recruit and mentor students.
- Academic advising for undergraduate and graduate students as appropriate.
- Serve on Departmental, College, and University committees.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s or terminal degree in Sport or Hospitality Management or related field is required.
- Evidence of successful teaching at the collegiate level.
- Minimum of two years relevant industry experience is strongly preferred.
