The School of Global Health Management and Informatics in the College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a 9-month, tenured associate professor or professor position, anticipated to begin in Fall 2025.

The selected candidate should be an experienced scholar with a national reputation who is excited to contribute to the vision of the school. The candidate should embody excellence in all phases of scholarly activity, with the capacity to add value to a thriving faculty and to represent our program’s values through a demonstrated commitment to high-quality teaching and learning across various modalities, including, but not limited to, online and multimodal instruction in our health services administration program.  

The School of Global Health Management and Informatics (SGHMI) offers three exciting major programs with Bachelor of Science degrees. One in health services administration (B.S.-HSA), one in health information management (B.S.-HIM), and a brand new bachelor’s in healthcare informatics. We also offer three accredited high-quality master’s degrees in health administration (MHA), the executive master program (eMHA), and health care informatics (M.S.- HCI). The school also has a proposed Ph.D. program in health informatics and services research which is pending final approval.

The School of Global Health Management and Informatics (SGHMI) provides students with opportunities for innovative research focused on problem-solving and making better healthcare decisions. Minimum Qualifications: 

  • A doctoral degree in health services administration or closely related field from an accredited institution and be eligible for the rank of associate professor or professor with tenure. 
  • To be eligible for appointment as a tenured associate professor or professor upon hire, the selected candidate must have a demonstrated record of research, teaching, and service at a comparable or peer institution commensurate with a tenured faculty appointment at the appropriate rank in a school or department related to health management and/or informatics.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prestigious peer-reviewed international and national journals.
  • Securing external funding as a Principal Investigator (PI) or Co- Principal Investigator (Co-PI).
  • Presenting research at national and international conferences .
  • Experience teaching graduate and undergraduate courses and mentoring students. 
  • Mentoring junior faculty and post-doctoral scholars.
  • Competencies through education, teaching, research, and/or work experience in one or more of the following content areas: health economics, healthcare finance, health management and leadership, health policy, population health, epidemiology, and public health.
