The Dean of Mathematics and Science reports directly to the Vice President of Instruction for the administration of the division, including the disciplines of Architecture, Astronomy, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Dental Assisting, Engineering, Geological Sciences, Mathematics, Nursing, Physical Sciences, Physics, as well as the Planetarium, Math Resource Center, Integrated Science Center, and MESA.

The next dean of the College of Science and Mathematics will lead an academic community dedicated to the success of its students as aspiring scientists, mathematicians, and problem-solvers, preparing them to explore the frontiers of knowledge and to tackle the complex, real-world challenges across science and mathematics, while promoting world class research that advances scientific, computational, and mathematical knowledge. 

Reporting to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the College of Science.
