Robert L. Satcher Sr. will serve until March as executive adviser to the college. Eddie M. Moore Jr., former president of Virginia State University will serve as interim president, effective November 10.
Mary Ellen Moule was elected chair of the board of trustees of historically black Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina. She is the first woman to hold the position in the college’s 115-year history.
Cary F. Fraser, an associate professor of African and African-American studies at Pennsylvania State University, was named president of the University of Belize in Central America.
Rodney S. Clark was named dean of the Attleboro campus of Bristol Community College, based in Fall River, Massachusetts. Clark was dean of admissions at the college.
Rahn Kennedy Bailey was named president-elect of the National Medical Association, an organization representing 30,000 African-American physicians nationwide.
This week Doris F. Givens began her new duties as the fifth president of the Kansas City, Kansas Community College. She is the first woman and the first African American to lead the college.
