National Park Service Awards African American Historical Preservation Grants to Five Universities

The African American Civil Rights grant program from the National Park Service has awarded grants to Auburn University, the University of Northern Colorado, Eastern Michigan University, Clemson University, and the University of South Carolina aimed at preserving sites and history relating to African Americans.

A widely respected administrator at the college since coming to campus in May 2011, Dr. Selmon currently serves as the provost/executive vice president providing leadership and oversight for academic affairs, athletics, facilities, and student services.

Currently, Dr. Joseph serves as interim chancellor of Indiana University South Bend. She was executive vice chancellor for academic affairs at the South Bend campus before she was asked to step into her current role. Earlier in her career, she served as dean of the College of Education at Eastern Michigan University.

Katrina VanderWoude Selected as the Next President of Contra Costa College in California

Katrina VanderWoude has been serving as vice president for academic affairs at Grossmont College in El Cajon, California. Earlier, she was vice provost at Rochester College in Michigan. Dr. VanderWoude will begin her new job on August 6.

The New Provost at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama

Colwick Wilson was the director of research, innovation, and grants at Kettering Health Network in Ohio. Earlier, he served in several capacities at Loma Linda University in Los Angeles.
