Gregory Vincent Appointed President of Talladega College in Alabama

Dr. Vincent is the former president of Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York Previously, he was the W.K. Kellogg Professor of Community College Leadership, professor of law, and vice president for diversity and community engagement at the University of Texas at Austin.

Titilayo Ufomata Appointed Provost at Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana

Currently, Dr. Ufomata had served as special advisor to the president and board of trustees at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York. She first joined the colleges in 2012 as provost and dean of faculty. She will become provost at St. Mary's College on June 1.

Condoleezza Rice to Be Honored by the American Political Science Association

The announcement that Dr. Rice would be the recipient of the Hubert Humphrey Award has upset some members of the political science field. Over 130 scholars have signed a petition calling for the American Political Science Association to revoke Dr. Rice's award.

Gregory Vincent Resigns as President of Hobart and William Smith Colleges

The resignation comes after allegations surfaced that Dr. Vincent plagiarized part of his doctoral dissertation at the University of Pennsylvania.
