Dr. Schrader has served as York College's interim president since January. She has extensive background in higher education, including recent service as the first Black president of Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn.

A longtime member of the CUNY family, Dr. Schrader has served as president of Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn New York, since September 2018. She has held leadership roles in three CUNY schools and has worked for more than 20 years in the system.
Since 2020, Dr. Eanes has served as president of York College of the City University of New York. She served as vice president for student affairs at California State University, Fullerton from 2012 to 2019. She will begin her new job in January.
Dr. Gunter-Smith became the fourth president of York College in 2013 after serving as provost and academic vice president at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. Previously, she was the Porter Professor of Physiology at Spelman College in Atlanta.

Berenecea Johnson Eanes was appointed president of York College of the City University of New York. She has been serving as interim president since last fall. Anthony E. Munroe will serve as president of Borough of Manhattan Community College. Since 2017, he has been president of Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey.
Dr. Eanes has been serving as vice president for the Division of Student Affairs at California State University, Fullerton. She has been on the staff at CalState, Fullerton for the past seven years.
The appointees are Qiana Watson at York College of the City University of New York, Lawrence A.Q. Burnley at the University of Dayton in Ohio, Stacey Nickson at Auburn University in Alabama, and Gerald Hector at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
Ivelaw Griffith, the ninth president of Fort Valley State University in Georgia, has announced that he will leave his post at the end of the academic year on June 30. He will have served as president for less than two years.
Ivelaw Lloyd Griffith has been serving as provost and senior vice president at York College, a campus of the City University of New York system. He has served in that post since 2007. He also is a tenured professor of political science.
