Two U.S. Universities Leading an Effort to Train Health Care Workers in Liberia

Indiana University and the University of Massachusetts Medical School, in conjunction with the University of Liberia, will develop the Center for Excellence in Health and Life Sciences at the University of Liberia with the goal of increasing the number of health care workers in the African nation. The project is funded by a $7.2 million grant from the U.S. Agency for International Development.

The project will include curriculum development, faculty training programs, library services, and nurse leadership and training programs.
