Alabama A&M Students Take to the Streets

Students at historically Black Alabama A&M University held a protest on the Huntsville campus this week. About 150 to 200 students took part in the protest. Among the students’ complaints was the institution of a dress code on campus and changes in the spring graduation ceremony. The students said that the changes were made without adequate consultation with the study body.

The dress code is scheduled to go into effect this coming fall and the details of the policy have not yet been released. But the students complained that they were not consulted as to whether or not there should be a dress code.
