Tougaloo College and Brown University Celebrate and Expand Their 50-Year Partnership

tc-sealHistorically Black Tougaloo College in Mississippi is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its partnership with Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Over the past half century the two educational institutions have collaborated on academic programs and participated in student and faculty exchanges.

To celebrate the occasion, Brown University President Christina Paxson traveled to Mississippi and gave the commencement address on the Tougaloo College campus. Dr. Paxson met with Tougaloo President Beverly Wade Hogan and the two presidents agreed to continue and expand the existing partnership between the two educational institutions.
