The New Chaplain at Dillard University in New Orleans

SalsberryEarnest Salsberry was appointed chaplain of Dillard University in New Orleans. He has served in the post on an interim basis for several months.

Toya Barnes-Turner, vice president for student success at Dillard University, stated that in his time as interim chaplain, Rev. Salsberry “has brought a level of spirituality to the campus that engages all stakeholders, especially our students in an unprecedented manner. The students love him, which is the most important thing to me.”

Rev. Salsberry is a 2006 graduate of Dillard University. He went on to earn a master of divinity degree from the Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta.

It is a great feeling to see positive things about African American people “who are not always in the public eye” being honored for their great accomplishments.
