In Memoriam: Diane Mae Stewart Pollard, 1944-2015

PollardDiane Pollard, professor emerita of educational psychology at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, has died. She was 71 years old.

After serving on the faculty at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Professor Pollard joined the faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1976. She taught there for more than 30 years. From 1979 to 1985, Dr. Pollard was the director of the university’s Center for the Study of Minorities and Disadvantaged. In 1995, she was the inaugural winner of the University of Wisconsin System’s Women of Color Award.

Dr. Pollard was a graduate of Wellesley College in Massachusetts. She held a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Chicago.
