Benedict College Announces Three New Bachelor’s Degree Programs

Benedict College, a historically Black educational institution in Columbia, South Carolina, has recently launched new bachelor’s degree programs to prepare students for careers in three high-demand fields: neuroscience, digital marketing, and supply chain management. The new degrees were developed in partnership with Rize Education, a higher education company that helps institutions create new majors, minors, and certificate programs.

The neuroscience program at Benedict will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the brain and nervous system and introduce them to several career pathways in research, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals.

The digital marketing program will feature a combination of theoretical coursework and hands-on learning opportunities. Students who enroll in the major will learn about topics such as social media marketing, search engine optimization, and data anayltics.

The supply chain management program will cover the necessary skills needed to manage the flow of goods and services. The curriculum will focus on logistics, operations, and strategic planning.

“Our new degree programs align perfectly with our mission of producing graduates who are academically prepared for in-demand careers,” said Benedict College President Roslyn Clark Artis. “By expanding our academic offerings, we are providing our students with greater opportunities to graduate in highly marketable fields.”
