Alabama State University, a historically Black educational institution, has announced a new online platform dedicated to enhancing the university’s academic offerings and improving affordability and access for postsecondary students.
Led by executive director Patrice W. Glenn Jones, the ASU Global Campus aims to provide students with the opportunity to pursue an advanced education while maintaining their personal and professional responsibilities.
“Online education is consistently evolving, and at Alabama State, we too are evolving. The Alabama State University Global Campus is about more than academic achievement — it’s about equipping students to navigate and shape an evolving world,” said Dr. Jones. “In a time where remote work and global connectivity have redefined traditional career paths, our programs, faculty, and support staff provide students with the opportunity to learn from wherever they are, while maintaining a deep connection to the HBCU legacy.”
Currently, Alabama State University is recruiting for several different online degrees, including three bachelor’s (criminal justice, psychology, and marketing), nine master’s (rehabilitation counseling, early education, elementary education, instructional support, clinical mental health counseling, school counseling, applied technology, business, and library educational media), and two doctoral programs (Ed.D. and Ph.D. in educational leadership, policy, and law).
