Brandon Hasbrouck has been named the Sydney and Frances Lewis Professor at the Washington and Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia. A faculty member with the university since 2019, he focuses his research on the legal and constitutional principles available to Congress and the courts to redress the way law fails Black and other marginalized people, as well as the structural possibilities for radical change in the United States.
A graduate of Dominican College in New York, Professor Hasbrouck received his juris doctorate from Washington and Lee University.
Kelvin Lesene has been named director of the aviation program at Delaware State University. In addition to teaching and managing the department’s curriculum, he will oversee the HBCU’s fleet of 27 planes and its base of operations at the Delaware Airpark. Prior to his new role, Lesene was the airport operations manager at Wilmington Airport of Delaware River and Bay Authority.
Lesene received his bachelor’s degree in aviation management from Delaware State University and his master’s degree in public administration from Wilmington University.
Phokeng M. Dailey has been named vice president for marketing and communications at Ohio Wesleyan University. In addition to her new administration appointment, she will retain her faculty position as the Warren C. Fairbanks Endowed Chair in Communication. Prior to her career in academia, she worked in visual merchandising and marketing with Limited Brands and Victoria’s Secret.
Dr. Dailey is a graduate of Ohio Dominican University, where she majored in education. She holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. in communication from Ohio State University.
