Terrence J. Brooks is the new associate vice provost for campus engagement at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Dr. Brooks comes to Rice with more than 20 years of higher education experience, including prior roles in student engagement, leadership development, and community-centered programming. He most recently served as senior director of student life at Columbus State Community College in Ohio.
Dr. Brooks is a graduate of Ohio State University, where he majored in English. He holds a master’s degree in college student personnel from Western Illinois University and a doctorate in organizational leadership from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio.
Victoria Neason Wallace was named vice president for enrollment and dean of admission and financial aid at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. She comes to her new role from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where she has been serving as executive director of strategic initiatives within the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. Before Colby, Neason Wallace was senior assistant director for student volunteers in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
An alumna of Washington University, Neason Wallace holds a master’s degree in education from Harvard University.

Burns earned his bachelor’s degree in business management and finance from North Carolina State University and his master of public administration degree from Strayer University.
