New Positions for Three Black Administrators at Universities
Sheena J. Cobrand has been selected to serve as interim general counsel and vice chancellor for legal affairs, risk, and compliance at North Carolina A&T State University. Cobrand currently serves as the university’s deputy general counsel and associate vice chancellor. Before her current role, she worked in employment law for the North Carolina Department of Commerce.
Cobrand received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Florida A&M University and her law degree from Florida State University.
Grant Winrow has been appointed vice president of the Office of Institutional Advancement at Wilberforce University in Ohio. Dr. Winrow comes to Wilberforce from Lincoln University of Missouri, where he served as vice president of university advancement. Earlier, he held several leadership roles at Tennessee State University, including vice president for university advancement, assistant dean of students, and special assistant to the president and director of special projects.
Dr. Winrow is a three-time alumnus of Tennessee State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in mass communication, an MBA, and a doctorate in educational leadership.
Kofi N. Ofori was named senior vice president and chief financial officer at Towson University in Maryland. Currently, Ofori is chief financial officer for Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Before Harvard, he was senior associate dean for finance and administration in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
Ofori holds a bachelor’s degree in operations and information systems management and an MBA from Pennsylvania State University.
