Darrius Jones was promoted from interim chief to permanent chief of police at Tuskegee University in Alabama. Jones has more than 15 years of experience in policing, investigations, emergency management, and command-level operations. Before joining Tuskegee, he held several key positions with the Montgomery Airport Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Montgomery Police Department. In addition to his civilian service, Jones serves in the United States Army Reserve and has accumulated 19 years of honorable military service.
Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in public safety from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Arthur Bradford is senior vice president for finance and administration at Northwest Arkansas Community College. Previously, De. Bradford served as the chief financial officer and senior vice president for administration at the University of North Texas at Dallas. He has also served in leadership roles with Walmart, JCPenny, Conagra Brands, and PepsiCo Frito-Lay.
Dr. Bradford is a graduate of Grambling State University in Louisiana, where he majored in accounting. He holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, a master’s degree in theological studies from the Dallas Theological Seminary, and a doctorate in business administration from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.
Edward Raimundi was appointed director of student services for Virginia Tech’s Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to his new role, he spent two years as assistant director of career pathways and college relations at Virginia Tech. Dr. Raimundi’s background in academia also includes student support roles at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, the University of Texas at Arlington, Texas Tech University, and Texas Christian University.
Dr. Raimundi received his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and his master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Louisiana Monroe. He holds a doctorate in organizational leadership from Abilene Christian University in Texas.
Brittany Bell has been named vice president for student affairs at Valley City State University in North Dakota. Dr. Bell comes to her new role from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, where she has been serving as dean of students. Earlier in her career, she spent seven years with St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin.
Dr. Bell is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where she majored in communication. She holds a master’s degree in education, counseling, and student affairs from the University of Nebraska-Kearney and a doctorate in higher education leadership from Edgewood University in Madison, Wisconsin.
Jarett Gerald was named vice president of athletics and recreation and director of athletics at La Salle University in Philadelphia. Gerald has nearly 15 years of experience in college athletics and philanthropy. Most recently, he was assistant athletics director for major gifts at the University of Missouri. Before that, he held a series of leadership roles at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, including major gifts officer, director of revenue strategy, and associate director of administrative operations.
Gerald earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in sport and entertainment management from the University of South Carolina, where he was a four-year letter winner in track and field.
