Blair Lee is the inaugural associate vice president and chief marketing and communications officer at Front Range Community College in Colorado. In this role, he will provide strategic leadership for the college’s brand and institutional positioning, strategic communications, enrollment marketing, digital engagement, media relations, and enterprise-wide communications alignment. Most recently, Lee served as director of marketing and communications at Colorado State University. Earlier in his career, he was executive director of strategic communications and alumni engagement at the Community College of Aurora in Colorado.
Lee holds a bachelor’s degree and a master of public administration degree from the University of Baltimore. He is currently completing a Ph.D. in the department of journalism and media communication at Colorado State University.
Atia Garrett-Washington was appointed vice president of enrollment management at Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Garrett-Washington has served as executive director of recruitment, admissions, and programming at the HBCU since Spring 2025. Before joining the Dillard administration, she was executive director of admissions, recruitment, and dual enrollment at Southern University at New Orleans.
Dr. Garrett-Washington is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she majored in applied sciences with a focus on informatics. She holds a master’s degree in educational technology leadership and a doctorate in adult learning and development from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
Elmore J. Jones, Jr. is the new compliance officer for Hampton University in Virginia. A retired U.S. Army Colonel, Jones has three decades of experience in military leadership, personnel management, and higher education administration. His background includes assignments with the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Department of the Army, U.S. Army Human Resources Command, and multiple Army divisions and commands. Most recently, Jones worked for Tennessee State University, serving in roles such as deputy chief operating officer, director of veterans affairs, and NCAA certification officer.
Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Norfolk State University in Virginia and a master’s degree in human resource development from Webster University. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership at Tennessee State University.
