The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam seeks highly qualified candidates for a full-time vocal coach/accompanist position, at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in Fall 2025. The primary teaching responsibilities in this position include: vocal coaching; accompanying; opera/musical theatre conducting ; and other courses as determined by the School of Music including those related to SUNY Potsdam’s General Education Program. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain or develop a regional and national professional reputation (as a performer, researcher, and/or clinician) and to participate in service to the college, school, and department through activities such as advising, assessment, and recruitment. This position may require teaching during evening/weekend hours, online, or at off-site locations.
