The Department of Performing Arts in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 1, 2025.

The Department of Music at Stanford University seeks to appoint a Director of Jazz Studies at the rank of Associate Professor (Teaching) for an initial term of five years, with the possibility of renewal for a continuing-term appointment.

Teach applied voice lessons at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Teach weekly voice masterclass with colleagues in the Voice Division.

Music educators with a broad range of experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply: instrumental music education at the secondary level, band and orchestra repertoire for music education, foundations of music education, brass and/or woodwind techniques, internship (student teacher) supervision, conducting, and related expertise in instrumental music education.

Director of Bands, teacher of conducting courses. The successful candidate will be a highly accomplished pedagogue, musical artist, energetic and inspiring leader, recruiter within and outside Towson University, and collaborative colleague.

Instructor (Non-Contract/Temporary) provides comprehensive classroom instruction to students from diverse backgrounds for the purpose of facilitating the attainment of their academic or vocational objectives.

We seek an emerging scholar with a strong background in teaching cultural musicology and related subjects to undergraduates in a liberal arts setting. We are open to ethnomusicologists working in any cultural area or tradition whose research interests will complement the methodologies and expertise of the other members of the department.

This position is responsible for managing 175-200 events per year in a busy Music Department in consultation with Music faculty and staff, the Brown Arts Institute, University offices, students, vendors, and community members.
