The Program Coordinator is responsible for managing programming, advising, and communications related to the recruitment and retention of Honors College students.

Job Description
The Program Coordinator is a member of the Honors College’s professional staff. In addition to advising a caseload of Honors College students, the Program Coordinator will provide day-to-day administrative and programmatic management for the Honors College’s efforts to recruit and retain students. The Program Coordinator will develop the Honors College’s marketing and communications strategies for connecting current and prospective students with information and insight about opportunities that enrich and enhance honors education at Miami. The Program Coordinator will oversee the Honors College’s internal and external communications platforms, including social media, websites, and Canvas pages; organize the Honors College’s participation in recruitment and yield events; hire, train, and coordinate Honors Ambassadors to represent the Honors College at admission-related events; and serve as the Honors College’s primary liaison with the Office of Admission and University Communications and Marketing (UCM).

Additional duties include (but are not limited to): working with new student and transfer orientation; supporting new advising initiatives; acting as a resource for faculty and other professional advisors; and serving on committees/working groups. Position affords opportunities for additional project-based contributions and professional development. Other duties as assigned by Executive Director and Associate Director.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required: Master’s degree in any field, earned by start date and two-to-four years of full-time professional experience at the college/university level in the fields of academic advising, teaching, university communications, and/or admission.

Consideration may be given to candidates with excellent written and oral communication (including public speaking); organizational, technological, and collaborative skills; experience working in honors programs or colleges or with high-ability student populations; work experience in admission and/or university communications; experience working with diverse students, including underrepresented minorities, international, and first-generation students; and understanding the purpose of honors education; experience with tools such as Banner, uAchieve (degree audits), Student Success Collaborative (Navigate 360), WorkDay, and Oracle Business Intelligence.
