Eric Brown is the new president and chief executive officer of Denmark Technical College in South Carolina. The historically Black technical college enrolls about 650 students, 76 percent of whom are Black.
With over two decades of higher education experience, Dr. Brown has a background in student support services, compliance and accreditation, strategic planning, enrollment management, budget oversight, and policy development. His past roles include associate vice president for student affairs at the South Carolina Technical College System and vice president of student affairs at Williamsburg Technical College in Kingstree, South Carolina. In addition to his administrative leadership, Dr. Brown has also served as an adjunct faculty member and educational consultant.
“I am honored to join Denmark Technical College at such a pivotal moment in its history,” said Dr. Brown. “This institution has a proud legacy of engaging, educating and empowering students, and I look forward to building on that foundation with a transformative vision that will expand opportunities and strengthen the student experience. Together, we will continue moving Denmark Tech forward as a vital gateway to education and workforce success.”
Dr. Brown received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Clemson University in South Carolina, a master’s degree in human resources development from Webster University, and a Ph.D. from Walden University.
