Four African Americans Appointed to New Administrative Positions in Higher Education

BridgetRossBridget Ross was appointed director of the Small Business Development Center at Prairie View A&M University in Texas. She was regional loan officer for PeopleFund, a nonprofit organization community development financial institution based in Austin, Texas. Previously, she was a regional vice president for a large financial institution.

Kimberly Edwards-Hunter - Head ShotKimberly Edwards-Hunter is the new director of annual giving at the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama. She previously worked in the division of institutional advancement at Birmingham-Southern College, in Birmingham, Alabama, where she held a number of positions, including coordinator of annual giving.

Edwards-Hunter holds a bachelor’s degree from Samford University in Birmingham.

laletaLaleta Davis-Mattis was named university counsel and head of the legal unit at the University of the West Indies. A native of Jamaica, she joined the faculty at the university in 2002. She is the former executive director of the Jamaica National Heritage Trust.

Davis Mattis holds a master’s degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia and a law degree from the University of the West Indies.

Dominic_MackDominic Mack was promoted to co-director of the National Center for Primary Care at the Morehouse School of Medicine. He has been serving as deputy director.

Dr. Mack is a graduate of Paine College in Augusta, Georgia, and Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He holds an MBA from Kennesaw State University in Georgia.
