Lane College Promotes Two Administrators

lanelogoLane College, the historically Black educational institution in Jackson, Tennessee, has announced the promotion of two women administrators.

sammuelDarlette Carver Samuels was promoted to chief of staff for the president of the college. She was executive assistant to the president and has served on the college’s staff for 20 years. Earlier in her career at Lane College, Samuels served as vice president for institutional advancement and director of public relations and public affairs.

scottSherrill Berry Scott was named vice president for administration. She will supervise enrollment management, transportation, and information technology services. Scott has served on the staff of Lane College for 36 years. Over her long career, she has held administrative posts in alumni affairs, student affairs, and Title III programs.
