Audrey Beard to Lead the School of Education at North Carolina Central University

beardAudrey W. Beard was named interim dean of the School of Education at North Carolina Central University in Durham. She was a tenured professor of early childhood education at Albany State University in Georgia. Dr. Beard was also director of clinical experiences and chair of the department of teacher education at the university.

Dr. Beard is a graduate of Fort Valley State University in Georgia, where she majored in early childhood education. She earned a master’s degree from Clark Atlanta University and an educational doctorate in early childhood education and education administration and supervision from Jackson State University in Mississippi.
