Savannah State University Partners With Albany Technical College

savannah-stateSavannah State University, the historically Black educational institution in Georgia, has entered into an agreement with Albany Technical College. Under the agreement, students at Albany Technical College who successfully complete an associate’s degree program in electronics engineering technology can transfer credits into the bachelor’s degree program in electronics engineering technology at Savannah State.

Albany Technical College enrolls about 3,600 students and African Americans make up 80 percent of the student body.

Manual Hall, chair of electronics technology program at Albany Technical College, said that the agreement with Savannah State will “offer yet another option for electrical and computer engineering technology students at Albany Tech to further their education at the baccalaureate level. The articulation is extraordinary in that a prospective student graduating with an electronics and computer engineering technology degree from Albany Tech would be able to enter Savannah State with a junior standing.”
