Sonja A. Bennett-Bellamy was named associate vice president of advancement at Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was vice president of institutional advancement and university relations at South Carolina State University.
Bennett-Bellamy is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, where she majored in journalism. She holds an MBA from Strayer University.
Marcellina Melvin is the new access and inclusion coordinator at the Psychological and Counseling Center of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a case management coordinator and clinical supervisor for Centerstone, a not-for-profit mental health services provider in the Midwest.
Melvin is a graduate of Xavier University in New Orleans, where she majored in psychology. She holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Fisk University in Nashville.
David C. Camps Sr. was appointed assistant vice president for sponsored research and programs at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina. He is the former director of sponsored research and programs at both Shaw University in Raleigh and Fayetteville State University. Earlier, he had a 22-year career in the U.S. Army.
Camps is a graduate of Bowie State University in Maryland. He holds a master’s degree in information systems from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
