Three Black Scholars Named to Dean Positions at State Universities

Adrienne WebberAdrienne C. Webber was appointed dean of library services at the Frederick Douglass Library on the campus of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne. For the past eight years, she has been dean of library and information services at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg.

Dean Webber is a graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. where she majored in mass communications. She holds a master of library science degree from Clark Atlanta University in Georgia.

Chimay-Anumba-PortraitChimay Anumba was named dean of the College of Design, Construction, and Planning at the University of Florida, effective August 1. Currently, Dr. Anumba is a professor and chair of the department of architectural engineering at Pennsylvania State University. Before joining the faculty at Penn State eight years ago, Dr. Anumba was director of the Centre for Innovative and Collaborative Engineering at Loughborough University in England.

Dr. Anumba is a graduate of the University of Jos in Nigeria. He earned a science doctorate at Loughborough University and a Ph.D. in civil engineering from the University of Leeds.

CharlesMosesCharles T. Moses was appointed interim dean of the College of Business at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. He is the former interim dean of the School of Business Administration at Clark Atlanta University, where he served as an associate professor of management.

Dr. Moses is a graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C., where he majored in psychology. He holds an MBA from the City University of New York and a doctorate in management from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
