The New President of the Penn Valley Campus of Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City

Tyjuan Lee is the new president of the Penn Valley Campus of Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City, Missouri. Since 2009 she has served as vice president for student affairs at Prince George’s Community College in Maryland.

Before working at Prince George’s Community College, Dr. Lee served as associate vice president for enrollment management and student services at Tidewater Community College in Virginia. Earlier, she was director of counseling at Cuyahoga Community College in Ohio.

“I am honored to have been selected to serve the MCC-Penn Valley faculty, staff, students and community,” Dr. Lee said. “I look forward to working with my new colleagues as we continue to advance the vision and mission of Metropolitan Community College.”

Dr. Lee holds a bachelor’s degree in specialized studies, a master’s degree in education, and a Ph.D. in educational leadership, with an emphasis on higher education administration, all from Ohio University in Athens.
