Visiting Assistant Professor of Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology

The Department of Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin August 1, 2025. The Department seeks a broadly trained archaeologist, whose teaching can complement and enhance existing curricula focused on Western Asia and the Mediterranean. The area of geographical and temporal specialization is open, and the successful candidate will be expected to teach five courses. In addition to teaching at the undergraduate level, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to teach classes at a graduate level (as necessary) and participate in the Graduate Group of Archaeology, Classics, and History of Art. A Ph.D. in Archaeology or a relevant field by the start date is required. Previous experience of teaching at both an undergraduate and graduate level is preferred.
