William Rainey Harper College, a public comprehensive community college in the State of Illinois, invites nominations, expressions of interest and applications for the position of Executive Vice President of Finance and Administrative Services of the College. The next Executive Vice President will be an experienced, transparent, and collaborative leader who possesses the knowledge and skills required to lead the finance and administrative services division to higher levels of excellence.
Harper College is now one of the nation’s premier community colleges and one of the largest, serving nearly 22,000 students annually in Chicago’s northwest suburbs. Most of Harper’s activities take place on the 200-acre campus in Palatine, Illinois. The College also has the Learning and Career Center in Prospect Heights; partners with Elgin Community College at the Education and Workforce Center in Hanover Park; and offers onsite classes at individual company locations on a contracted basis.
Harper College degree and certificate programs are organized in 10 Academic Areas of Interest to help guide students on a path to completion and success. As a member of the Executive Cabinet, the Executive Vice President of Finance and Administrative Services reports to the President and serves as the chief financial officer at Harper College. The Executive Vice President supports the college’s mission, vision, strategic plan, philosophy, and core values by leading the finance and administrative services division to provide sound institutional financial services and planning and management, efficient facilities, information services and technology, human resources, public safety and risk management services. In addition, the Executive Vice President works closely with the Executive Cabinet to ensure a coordinated and cohesive institutional approach to financial, administrative, operational and organizational excellence.
